My colonies of Macrotermes gilvus termites have officially reached the thriving stage! Their fungus comb which took months to establish has finally arrived and I loved looking at the termites’ hard work. This termite farm and home pet project started as a fun hobby, which became a home experiment and has now blossomed into a scientific and relevant project.
