Our new and improved AC Test Tube Portal™ v2 is one of the most useful items in ant keeping. It has four openings, a removable perforated cover for ventilation micro-holes, has a small trap door for easy insertion of food, and is now 100% clear for optimal viewing! The AC Test Tube Portal™ can be used for:

miniature outworlds for feeding a starting ant colony in a test tube, especially useful for semi-claustral ant species
moving a colony from a moldy or dried-out test tube setup to a fresh, new test tube setup
offering test tubes full of sugar water to starting colonies in a test tube setup
an alternative to placing test tubes of sugar water and/or water in an ant colony's outworld as they act as liquid feeding stations for colonies
connecting tubing together creating a tubing crossroads
an alternative to a formicarium by simply connecting an arrangement of one or more AC Test Tube Portals™, tubing, and test tube setups

Genius piece of equipment

I love the antscanda test tube portal. It will connect with literally any piece of antscanda equipment and provides that middle ground when your colony is in that stage where they don't need a full sized nest but do need a small outworld. It even works with adult colonies serving as a crossroads and drink station. The feeding chute and the ramps out of the holes are nice additions as well. My only complaint is that it is fairly expensive for a small plastic box, although that is a common theme with antscanda. I buy lots of these all the time and can say that I am happy.

Good for now

It is wonderful to use. and has many connection ports so you can add many connections to it. Also this is kind of a me problem but my queen ant isn't laying any eggs.
